John Lewis Partnership signs up to support Design Guild Mark
The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers has announced that the John Lewis Partnership will sponsor and support its Design Guild Mark in the run up to the 2013 awards and beyond. This will help to further develop the Design Guild Mark as the award that all aspiring British designers working in the UK or abroad will want to achieve.

An Award for Excellence in British Furniture Design – call for entries
The Furniture Makers’ Company are calling for entries for The Design Guild Mark 2012. The Design Guild Mark rewards excellence in the design of furniture in volume production. By the award of this Guild Mark for designs which meet the Furniture Makers’ Company’s criteria, the designers will receive due recognition and the industry will be made more aware of the importance of investment in design. The Design Guild Mark rewards the work of the finest designers working in Britain and the best of British designers working abroad.
Deadlines for Applications for the 2012 Design Guild Marks

The founding Chairman of the Design Guild Mark, Jonathan Hindle (of KI), having served for four years, is handing over the Chairmanship to fellow Liveryman and Court Assistant, Graham Jones (of Knoll International).
